            miRNA profiling in renal carcinoma suggest the existence of a group of pro-angionenic tumors in localized clear cell renal carcinoma

            In this recent study, Trilla-Fuertes and colleagues perform microRNA arrays on a panel of primary renal carcinoma tissue samples and find differences in miRNA expression between different renal cell carcinoma subtypes. Interestingly, proangiogenic microRNAs were found to be overexpressed in the clear cell renal carcinoma subtype.
